Who We Are

Natural Law Ethics is a digital education publisher operated by Noah Revoy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use the companion course platform at naturallawethics.com.

Information We Collect

When you create an account or complete a purchase, we collect:

  • Account information: your name and email address.
  • Billing information: your billing name, address, and payment method details. Payment processing is handled directly by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or banking details.
  • Usage information: login timestamps and download activity, used to maintain your account and detect abuse.

We do not use tracking pixels, behavioral advertising, or analytics platforms that build advertising profiles.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your account.
  • To process your payment and fulfill your order.
  • To send receipts, purchase confirmations, and password reset emails.
  • To notify you when new resources are added to the library (you purchased lifetime access, which includes updates).
  • To comply with applicable tax and record-keeping requirements.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services in the course of operating this platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing, tax calculation, and invoice generation. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their handling of billing data: stripe.com/privacy.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (receipts, password resets, update notifications). Resend receives your email address for the purpose of delivery.

These services are used solely to operate the platform. We have data processing agreements in place with each provider.

Cookies and Sessions

We use a single session cookie (nle_session) to keep you logged in. This cookie is HttpOnly, Secure, and expires after 30 days. We do not use third-party cookies or advertising cookies of any kind.

Data Retention

Account and purchase records are retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy tax and record-keeping obligations (typically 7 years from the date of purchase). You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; note that financial records required for tax compliance cannot be erased.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days.

Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Session tokens are cryptographically random. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
